250 Series
The 250 series is the smallest series of components we offer. Based on 1/4 inch diameter tube, the 250 series is just the thing for rigging in tight places. Stop-motion animators, this is the series you've been asking for! All of the blocks are available in the 250 series; right angle blocks, parallel blocks, accessory mount blocks, linear and rotational blocks and more. As with all other Berkey System the 250 series can be interfaced with any of the other series of components through the use of bushings. Berkey System components are made from 6061 aluminum and are black anodized for durability. All Berkey System products are made in the USA and are covered by our Lifetime Warranty. 250 Series Right Angle Block
You want small, we've got small. The 250 series is here! The right angle block has always been the workhorse of the Berkey System but in the case of the 250 series right angle block, it's more like a pony. These blocks are available in both a left and right hand version. Having a left and a right hand version allows access to the fastener even if you have two blocks side by side. An equal number of each is recommended. You can never have too many of these. Bore is .250 inch diameter. The fastener is a 6-32 and requires the 7/64th balldriver, sold separately.
250 Series Spud Block
Combine with Right Angle Block to create any angle. We recommend a 4 to 1 ratio of Right Angle Blocks to Spud Blocks.
250 Series Base Plate Block
Base Plate Blocks are attached to the Base Plates and serve as the starting point for any building operation. Blocks are counter-bored to accept one 10-32 socket head cap screw. Block is drilled for use in vertical or horizontal applications. One fastener per block included. Bore is .250 inch diameter.
250 Series Accessory Mount Block
Half of a right angle block with a 10-32 tapped hole on end. Mount anything on this block.
250 Series Bearing Block
Right angle block with an oil impregnated bronze insert. Excellent for driveshaft mounting or other light duty rotational applications. Bore is .250 inch diameter. Shafting sold separately.
250 Series Tubing
Balldriver, 7/64th’s
For the 250 series blocks, a tiny 7/64th's balldriver is preferred tool for fast assembly. Great in tight spaces.
Base Plate 1.25X3
Base Plate. This little base plate is great for mounting on the edges of 2X4's or in applications where space is tight. Mount on any flat surface via two mounting holes that are countersunk for drywall screws or flathead machine screws. Add Base Plate Blocks and you have a solid starting point to build off of. This base plate is 1/4 inch thick, drilled and tapped for both 1/4-20 and 10-32 fasteners. This Base Plate is compatible with the 15 mm, 250, 375, 500 and 750 series Base Plate Blocks.
1X2 Base Plate
The smallest base plate we make; measuring just 1X2 inches. Mounts to any surface with one drywall screw. One each 1/4-20 and 10-32 tapped hole for mounting base plate blocks.
Ball Driver 5/32″
A very handy tool for assembling your rig or making quick adjustments, Bondhus Balldrivers are the preferred wrench for use with the Berkey System. Old fashioned hex wrenches are so last century. For fastest assembly, Bondhus Balldrivers are the only way to go. They fit all Berkey System components, will not over-tighten and have the ability to get into tight places. Long stem also available. Sold individually.
375 to 250 series bushing
With the 375 to 250 series bushing you can mix 375 and 250 series components. Simply place the bushing in any 375 block and you can use 250 series rod. Add a second or third bushing to go all the way up to 750 series.
