Los Angeles based Special Effects rigger Greg Finnin was the lucky guy that had the enviable task of setting up 10 of Eric Clapton’s Fender Guitars for a T-Mobile spot. The guitars were held in place using Berkey System components attached to the guitars via vacuum bases which held the guitars upright from the rear. Greg was able to meet Eric in person while he worked on setting up the guitars. Greg said Eric was a super nice guy, easy to work with and he even got a handshake from the guitar legend. The way we see it here at Berkey System, Eric probably said he would do the job because he knew that Greg was using Berkey System gear to hold his guitars. Chances are I’m wrong but you never know. I told Greg to leave a block or two behind so Eric would find one in his guitar case next time he pulled one out. Just looking at this picture while I write has me singing “I’ve got a rock ‘n roll heart”. See the finished spot here.
